Calagonone Resort

Facilities: The Club Esse Calagonone, set within a centuries-old park featuring Mediterranean vegetation, is situated in a scenic location overlooking the Gulf of Orosei, in a quiet location yet just a short walk from the center of Cala Gonone, where boats depart for stunning beaches, including Cala Mariolu, Cala Goloritzè, Cala Luna, and the Bue Marino Cave. There are also incredible hikes inland to the mysterious Nuragic village of Tiscali and the Supramonte region, home to the Su Gorroppu Gorge, which, with its walls over 400 meters high, is the tallest and longest canyon in Europe.

Rooms: 304 rooms surrounded by greenery. All rooms are equipped with air conditioning, a TV, a mini-fridge, a hair dryer, a safe, and a private bathroom. Rooms are available as singles, doubles, or twin rooms, as well as triple and quadruple rooms with bunk beds. There are no five-person rooms with a single open layout. SERENA FAMILY: Families of 4 or 5 people can be accommodated in 2 adjoining or connecting rooms (for a fee of 3.5 or 3.75 rates). Rooms for guests with disabilities are available.

“Esse Up” Vacation: a package designed for those who love to pamper themselves on vacation by treating themselves to a few extra comforts. Includes: Welcome Lunch (free lunch also available on the day of arrival); priority seating at the restaurant; Beach umbrella with one beach bed and one deck chair assigned starting from the 3rd row for the entire duration of your stay; free beach towel rental with daily replacement.

“Esse Plus” Vacation: everything included in the “Esse Up” package, plus: priority check-in (fast lane) and room availability by 2:00 p.m.; late check-out (the option to keep the room until 2:00 p.m. at the end of your stay); complimentary initial supply for the mini-fridge; Assignment of a beach umbrella with a beach bed and a deck chair starting from the 2nd row for the entire duration of the stay; Lunch Around: Enjoy lunch at any Club Esse location in Sardinia, subject to reservation and availability.

Dining: The restaurant features an air-conditioned dining room, a covered outdoor veranda, and a circular "Pagoda" terrace located by the pool, available for dinner (by reservation only, at no extra charge). Buffet service featuring a selection of regional and international dishes, a wide variety of appetizers, first courses, main courses, side dishes, authentic Italian pizza, fruit, and dessert. Theme nights and a traditional Sardinian evening (microfiltered water, house white, red, and rosé wine, and light beer are included with meals, unless otherwise noted). Food Intolerances: Due to the layout of our kitchens, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of cross-contamination for any type of food intolerance, nor can we adapt our menus to accommodate individual allergies. In any case, you can find foods at the buffet that are naturally free of gluten, lactose, and eggs. We also offer a line of gluten-free products. For breakfast: rusks, cookies, rice cakes, sandwich bread, packaged snacks, jams, muesli; For lunch and dinner: pasta, bread, and packaged desserts.
Ristomini "Hero's Banquet": a special menu for children, who will be able to eat together with the Hero Camp staff in the designated area. Baby Feeding Area for Ages 0–3: A fully equipped space dedicated to children up to 3 years old, accessible at any time, where moms and dads can prepare baby food and find a selection of freshly prepared staple foods, including meat, vegetable, or fish broth; vegetable puree; small pasta, grated cheese, UHT whole or low-fat milk, yogurt, cheese spreads, and seasonal fruit. Please note that baby food is not available.

Facilities, Amenities, and Sports: restaurant with an air-conditioned dining room, a covered outdoor veranda, and the circular “Pagoda” terrace located by the pool, available for dinner (by reservation only, at no extra charge); 24-hour front desk; lobby, TV lounge, 1,000-meter pool with a children’s area, with pool loungers and deck chairs available while supplies last, air-conditioned meeting room seating 200, amphitheater, playground, central bar in the pool area with a piano bar and Wi-Fi zone, Amphitheater Bar open during shows, “Palma Beach” bar/restaurant in front of the beach, free unguarded parking, bazaar, boutique, crafts, archery, multipurpose tennis and soccer field, bocce court, pickleball courts, diving center, beach towel and stroller rentals (please request when booking), e-bike rentals, inflatable boat rentals available, and an excursion desk with a wide range of activities.

Activities and Entertainment: Club Esse Cala Gonone features spacious areas that are perfectly suited for activities, such as the large, fully equipped swimming pool, the piano bar, and the amphitheater. The entertainment team accompanies our guests throughout their entire vacation with a rich program of entertainment, sports, and shows. Children and Teens: “Pink Hero,” the penguin mascot who’s come all the way from the cold, is waiting to entertain our little heroes with fun, artistic, and athletic activities and to raise their awareness about environmental issues. "Hero Camp": (ages 3 to 12, further divided into age groups) from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. With the help of specialized staff, the children will explore a different theme each day through games, nature experiences, arts and crafts workshops, sports, theater, and lots of music. "Young Club": (ages 13 to 18) Teens will have plenty of opportunities to socialize and share experiences through sports activities and tournaments, art workshops, and events tailored to their age group. Important: To access the services offered, you will be required to wear a colored wristband for the entire duration of your stay.

Shiatsu Weeks: From June 9 to September 15, all Club Esse guests are invited to participate free of charge in the Shiatsu Workshop, which features themed hands-on sessions led by instructors from the renowned Himawari Shiatsu School and concludes with the issuance of a certificate.

Beach: 800 meters from the picturesque pink beach, which gets its color from the presence of small, colorful pebbles. Equipped with a large selection of beach umbrellas, each with one beach bed and one deck chair, available while supplies last. Connected by a small train (free at scheduled times, exclusively for guests) that takes guests up to 200 meters (a flat walk) from the beach
